Additional Outsource Options

Additional Outsource Options
allows you to set defaults for various tax preparation policies that you would like SurePrep to follow while processing your outsourced returns. Follow these steps to configure Additional Outsource Options. 
  1. Go to
    FileRoom
    >
    Admin
    >
    Tax Return
    .
    Select Admin, then TAX RETURN.
  2. On the location dropdown, select the office location. The tax return option changes will apply to the selected office location.
    note
    When selecting tax return options, if no office location is selected then the blank location (first option) settings will be used by default. Any new office location added will inherit the blank location settings.
  3. Select
    Additional Outsource Options
    .
    Select Additional Outsource Options.
  4. Select either
    1040
    or
    1041
    .
    Select either 1040 or 1041 tax return.
  5. The tax preparation policies of SurePrep for both 1040 and 1041 returns appear under various headings. The default tax preparation policies will be selected. You can select a radio option to change the setting for each policy. Review all selections and make changes as needed.

  6. The options you select in
    Additional Outsource Options
    will enable SurePrep staff to prepare your firm's returns accurately per your firm's policies.

Deprecated

On the
Additional Outsource Options
tab, the
States
and
Non Resident state returns
outsource options are only applicable for tax year 2018 and earlier.
Deprecated states and non state tax returns.
