Canon scanner setup

Restore or import Canon DR-C240 with CaptureOnTouch V5 pro

Follow these steps to restore or import:
  1. Open your device’s
    Start
     menu and open
    CaptureOnTouch V5 Pro
     from the program list.
  2. Within the taskbar, select the
    CaptureOnTouch
     scanner icon.

  3. From the
    CaptureOnTouch
     menu, select
    Select Scanner
    Select Select Scanner
  4. Once the
    Select Scanner
     window appears, select
    Canon DR-C240
     and select
    OK
    .
    Select Canon DR-C240
  5. Within
    CaptureOnTouch
    , select
    New document
     at the top of the window.
    Select New document
  6. Once a
    New document
     option appears in the
    Select document
     section, select the
    Edit
     Edit icon icon.
    Select the Edit icon
  7. Within the resulting menu, select the
    Enable
     checkbox located in the
    Use advanced settings dialog box
     section.

  8. Select
    Setting
    .
    Select Setting
  9. Once the scanner setting window, select
    Restore
    .
    Select Restore
  10. Select the file titled
    SurePrep-C240.dat
     from the location where you previously saved/downloaded your backup, then select
    Open
    .
    File Explorer
  11. On the
    Restore
     window, select
    Yes
    .
  12. A
    SurePrep
     profile will appear under
    User Preference
    . Select the
    SurePrep
     profile, then select
    OK
    .
    Select OK
  13. Within the currently open window, select the
    Batch separation
     tab, and set the
    Separation method
     option as
    No separation
    .

  14. Select the
    Document
     tab, go to the
    General
     section, then enter
    SurePrep
     in the
    Name
     field. Select
    Close
     to continue.
    Enter SurePrep as the name then select Close
  15. If you want to change the location where the scanned PDFs are saved, you can make the necessary adjustments in the
    Select Output
     section. Select
    New Output
     to create a new, separate option, or select the
    Edit
     Edit icon icon to edit an existing option.

  16. Within the resulting menu, you can adjust the folder that the PDF will be saved to and the default file name prefix, among other settings.
    Enter the file name and folder location
  17. Load the pages you want to scan into the scanner, ensure the
    SurePrep
     profile is selected, and select
    SCAN
     at the bottom of the window.
    Select SCAN
  18. After the scan is complete, select
    Finish
     to complete the scanning process and save the PDFs to the selected output folder.
    Select Finish
Download the .dat file
