Reset DRL

Document Request List (DRL) is based on your clients' proforma data from last year's tax return. To fetch the DRL data from your tax software, you need to create a custom DRL then send the DRL to the client. Resetting DRL lets you restart the process of creating a custom DRL by deleting the current DRL along with any changes that were made using
Edit DRL
.
Reset DRL
can also cancel DRLs that are currently in a queue or being processed.
Reset DRL
is also useful to recall DRLs sent to the client's profile. This can be useful in situations where you erroneously entered an incorrect Tax Client ID or didn't roll forward the return to the current tax year in your tax software.
Reset DRL
will recall any DRLs that were sent to the client's profile.
Follow these steps to reset DRL:

    Client Management

    • Create Custom DRL
      status should be either
      In Queue
      ,
      In Process
      ,
      DRL Creation in Queue

You can use the filter feature to narrow down the client list to only see clients with the proper status (for example,
      In Queue
      ,
      In Process
      ,
      Completed
      ,
      Sent)
      . select
      ADD FILTER CATEGORIES
      >
      Status
, then select the checkbox to filter clients.
  7. The
    Reset DRL
window will appear asking you to double check your choice to reset this client's DRL. Any sub-categories that were added using the Edit DRL feature will also be deleted.
  8. Additionally, you will have the option to reset the client information that was imported from the tax software when
    Create Custom DRL
    was initially triggered. Select the
    Reset personal information
checkbox if you'd like to reset this client's imported personal information.
  9. Once you've reviewed the information and indicated your
    Reset personal information
    preferences, select

    to close the
    Reset DRL
    window.
  10. On the
    CREATE CUSTOM DRL
option, the client's status will change to
    ELIGIBLE FOR IMPORT
. You can select the client then create a new custom DRL.
