Dynamic password - automatically send invite emails

The Dynamic Password (1-Time Password) feature lets your clients skip the sign-up process and claim their TaxCaddy account using secure two-factor authentication. TaxCaddy will send a custom Dynamic Password link to your clients' email addresses and a temporary auto-generated password sent to their mobile phones (via SMS) when they select the link.
Firms can also update their settings to send clients TaxCaddy invites automatically. Using the automatic invites feature reduces time spent tracking down client records then manually sending invites. If enabled, TaxCaddy automatically sends Dynamic Password invites to clients who haven’t been invited and have pending requests (Questionnaire, Sign requests, DRL, and letters).
After the 1st (task) request is added to a client's profile (from either the client profile or the
Administrative
screen), TaxCaddy waits for a grace period and then sends the invite automatically.

Automatically send dynamic password emails

Follow these steps to send automatic invites through Dynamic Password:
  1. Find the
    Automatically Send Dynamic Password Emails
    section of your firm's
    Dynamic Password
    settings.
    • Select
      ENABLE
      to send client invites automatically with a Dynamic Password link.
    • Select
      DISABLE
      (default) to send client invites automatically with a Dynamic Password link.
  2. After a pending request is added to a client's profile (either from the client profile or Administrative screen) and the waiting period ends, TaxCaddy automatically sends the client a Dynamic Password invite email. You can reduce or extend the waiting period as desired by entering days to wait in the field (for example, 3 days).
  3. Select
    SAVE
    .
When a Dynamic Password invite is sent, all clients with pending gather requests in their profile will receive an invite email with a unique Dynamic Password link. Clients can select the link to sign in using a temporary auto-generated password sent to their phone number (via SMS).
Dynamic Password checklist
Once the waiting period is over, a Dynamic Password will be sent if all the following conditions apply:
  • Client Profile must have at least 1 gather request to initiate the waiting period (Questionnaire, Sign request, DRL, and letters).
  • Client record must have the email address in
    Client Management
    .
  • Client record must be in the
    Not Invited
    status in
    Client Management
    .
  • Client record must be a new
    Standard
    client added after December 07, 2021.
If a client's record is missing an email address after the waiting period, edit the client's profile and send the invite manually.
