Reset your password
If you’d like to update your password for security or personal reasons, you can easily change it from within your account or the sign-in screen. If you forget your password and need to change it, you can reset it on the sign-in screen for your application or at the Thomson Reuters Account sign-in screen. This article will cover both examples.
Reset your password after sign-in
Follow these steps to reset your password.
- Select the dropdown menu next to your name, then selectManage TR Account.

- On the new page, selectSecurity.

- SelectChange password.

- Type your new password in theNew passwordand theConfirm new passwordfields.

Password requirements
- Minimum of 8 characters in length.
- Passwords are case sensitive and must have the following character types:
- Lower case (a-z)
- Upper case (A-Z)
- Numbers (0-9)
- One of the following special charactersspecial characters (!@#$%^&*)
- One of the following special characters
- A password can't include easily guessed words or phrases
- A password can't contain the sign-in name.
Additional notes
- The user ID can't be changed. Only the firm administrator can add or remove users.
- No one can access or view your password, including SurePrep and the firm administrator.
