Workpapers

Accessing the Workpapers feature requires the following:
  • have a valid Active Workpapers license,
  • be assigned to ONESOURCE Workpapers in ONESOURCE Platform User Administration.
To access Workpapers, select
Workpapers
 from the navigation bar:
You can pull information from
ONESOURCE Tax Provision
 to a Workpaper using the
GET/SET Function Wizard
. Refer to the topic
Function Definition and Execution
 in the
Workpapers
 online help for information on using the GET/SET Function Wizard.

As part of the v2016 upgrade process, Active Workpapers in ONESOURCE Tax Provision are moved to the new ONESOURCE application. With this transition, no Active Workpaper functionality is lost. When the upgrade is complete, you can find zip files with your active Workpapers in ONESOURCE Tax Provision under
Administration > Global Attachments
.
In ONESOURCE Workpapers you can:
  • View a new mapsheet, #OSMap#, with the new formula driven mapping and line by line references to the old mappings.
  • Find the old mapsheet, #MAP#, in your converted Workpapers. Any new Workpapers created after the migration will use the new formula driven mapping. The #MAP# will not exist on any of the newly created Workpapers.

Workpapers Permissions

The new ONESOURCE Workpapers application has a robust set of permissions. Users can have specific permissions assigned for a workpaper.
  • Permissions are not set for each Workpapers instance, therefore, User Administration for Workpapers is only one permission for all instances.
  • Upon upgrade, users that are in the
    ONESOURCE Tax Provision
     administration group in any instances will have Admin access in User Administration for Workpapers. All other users will have Read Only access in User Administration for Workpapers.
