Update your phone number

We use your mobile phone number for 2-factor authentication. If your phone number changes, you'll need to update it in TaxCaddy.
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac, or tablet
Follow these steps to update your phone number using TaxCaddy.com on your PC, Mac, or tablet.
  1. Sign in to taxcaddy.com
  2. Select
    User Menu
    , then
    Settings
    .
    Select Settings
  3. Select
    Security
    .
    Select Security
  4. Under
    Two Factor Authentication
    , select
    Change Phone
    .
    Select Two -Factor Authentication then Change Phone
  5. Enter your new mobile number and select
    Send Verification Code
    .
    Select a country then Send Verification Code
    note
    Due to local restrictions, some countries may not receive TaxCaddy verification code SMS on their mobile phone when they need to complete tasks (such as sign in or sign documents). Contact TaxCaddy Support if you are experiencing difficulty receiving your verification code.
  6. Confirm your password in
    Password
    . Enter the verification code sent to your new phone number via text message in the
    Verification Code
     field. Select
    NEXT
    .
    Additional Security when changing number
    If you didn't receive a text message on your phone, select
    Resend code
  7. Your phone number has now been changed. Select
    Done
    .

iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to update your phone number on the iPhone mobile phone app.
  1. Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
  2. Select
    More
     on the navigation tab bar, then
    Settings
    .
    Select More then Settings
  3. Select
    Update Two-Factor Authentication
    .
    Select Update Two-Factor Authentication on iOS
  4. Enter your new number and select
    Save
    .
    Enter the new mobile number then select Save
    If you need to enter a phone number from another country, select the field with the flag icon, find the country, then select the country code.
    Select your country from the drop-down menu
  5. Enter the verification code that was sent to your new phone number via text message in
    VERIFICATION CODE
    . Confirm your password in
    PASSWORD
    . Select
    Submit
    .
    Enter the VERIFICATION CODE an PASSWORD then select Submit

  6. Your phone number has now been changed.
Follow these steps to update your phone number on the Android mobile phone app.
  1. Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
  2. Select
    Menu
    .
    Select the Android Menu icon
  3. Select
    Settings
    .
    Select Settings
  4. Select
    Update Two-Factor Authentication
    .
    Select Update Two-Factor Authentication
  5. Enter your new number and select
    Save
    .
    Enter the new mobile number then save
    If you need to enter a phone number from another country, select the field with the flag icon, find the country, then select the country code.
    Select your country from the drop-down menu
  6. Enter the verification code that was sent to your new phone number via text message in
    Verification Code
    . Confirm your password in
    Password
    . Select
    Save
    .
    Enter the verification code and password, then save
