You can add your bank account information to TaxCaddy to make a tax payment or pay an invoice. There are two methods of adding a bank account:
Instant Verification
or
Manual Verification
.
Add Payment Accounts
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac, or tablet
Use the following steps to add your bank account to TaxCaddy.
  1. Log in to TaxCaddy.com.
  2. Select the
    User Menu
    , then select
    Settings
    .
    Select Settings
  3. Select the
    Payment Accounts
    tab.
    Select Payment Accounts
  4. Select
    Add Account
    to add an account.
    note
    The
    +Add Account
    feature will only appear if you are currently connected to a tax professional. Users who are not connected to a tax professional will not have the option to add a bank account.
    Select Add Account
  5. Select the verification method you want to use to add your bank account:
    • Instant Verification
      - Requires you to sign in to your bank account to verify your bank account.
    • Manual Verification
      - Requires you to add your add
      Routing Number
      ,
      Account Number
      ,
      Account Owner's Name
      , and
      Account Type
      . Once the bank account has been added, you will receive micro-deposits in two business days. Enter the amounts to complete your account verification.

iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to add your bank account to TaxCaddy on your iOS mobile app:
  1. Log in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
  2. Select
    More
    on the navigation tab bar, then select
    Settings
    .
    Select More then Settings
  3. On the
    Settings
    screen, select
    Payment Accounts
    .
    Select Payment Accounts
  4. Select
    ADD BANK ACCOUNT
    .
    Select ADD BANK ACCOUNT
  5. You can select between
    Instant Verification
    or
    Manual Verification
    .
    • Instant Verification
      - Requires you to sign in to your bank account to verify your bank account.
    • Manual Verification
      - Requires you to add your add
      Routing Number
      ,
      Account Number
      ,
      Account Owner's Name
      , and
      Account Type
      . Once the bank account has been added, you will receive micro-deposits in two business days. Enter the amounts to complete your account verification.

Android mobile app
Follow these steps to add your bank account to TaxCaddy on your Android mobile phone app.
  1. Log in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
  2. Select the
    Menu
    icon.
    Select the Android Menu icon
  3. Select
    Settings
    .
    Select Settings
  4. On the
    Settings
    screen, select
    Payment Accounts
    . You may need to swipe up/down to see the
    Payment Accounts
    option.
    Select Payment Accounts
  5. Select
    ADD BANK ACCOUNT
    .
    Select ADD BANK ACCOUNT
  6. You can select between
    Instant Verification
    or
    Manual Verification
    .
    • Instant Verification
      - Requires you to sign in to your bank account to verify your bank account.
    • Manual Verification
      - Requires you to add your add
      Routing Number
      ,
      Account Number
      ,
      Account Owner's Name
      , and
      Account Type
      . Once the bank account has been added, you will receive micro-deposits in two business days. Enter the amounts to complete your account verification.

Instant Verification

Use the following steps to verify your bank account.
  1. Select
    Instant Verification
    to sign in to your bank account.
    Select Instant Verification
  2. When the Plaid overview screen appears, select
    Continue
    .
    Select Continue
  3. Go to or use the search bar to find your bank. Select your bank.

    TaxCaddy uses Plaid to add your financial institution.Check to see if your financial institution is supported by Plaid. TaxCaddy Instant Verification method doesn’t support Chase or PNC. Use the
    Manual Verification
    method if needed.
  4. Enter your bank's login credentials. Select
    Submit
    .
    Enter your banking credentials
    Your login screen may vary based on your selected bank.
  5. You will see an error message if your login credentials were incorrect. Select
    Try again
    and try again.

  6. You will see a list of your accounts once you sign in successfully.
    Select an account from those listed
  7. Select the account name where the payment will be made from, then select
    Continue
    .

Use the following steps to verify your bank account.
  1. Select
    SELECT YOUR BANK

  3. Scroll down or use the search bar to find your bank. Select your bank.

  4. Enter your bank's login credentials. Select

    Enter your User Name and Password
  5. You will see an error message if your login credentials were incorrect. Select
    Try again
    to try again.
    Select Try Again
  6. You will see a list of your accounts once you sign in successfully.
    Select your account
  7. Select an account to select it for invoice payment. Select
    Continue
    .
    Select your account then select Continue
    Once your bank account has been added successfully, you can tap the verified bank account to make a payment.

  7. Select on an account to select it for invoice payment. Select
    Continue
    . Once your bank account has been added successfully, you can select the verified bank account to make a payment.

Manual Verification
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac, or tablet
Use the following steps to manually verify your bank account.
  1. Select
    Manual Verification
    to add your bank account using routing and account numbers. Manual verification may take up to 2 business days.

  2. Enter all fields then select
    ADD ACCOUNT
    .
    Enter your banking account credentials
    You can select the
    Help
    icon to view an example of how to locate your routing and account number.

  3. If you see an error message, select
    TRY AGAIN
    and verify all fields.
    Select Try Again
  4. Once you have successfully added your bank account, select
    DONE
    .

  5. Once the bank account has been added, it still needs to be verified. You will receive 2 deposits in this bank account, the amounts will be used to authenticate your bank account. This may take up to 2 business days.
    Once you receive the two payments in your bank account, return to this step again following the steps listed previously. Select
    VERIFY
    on the bank account you added earlier.

    You only need to manually verify the bank account once after it has been added.

    Invoice

    Select Verify when completing a tax payment or invoice
  6. To verify this account, enter the two bank deposits under
    VERIFICATION AMOUNT 1
    and
    VERIFICATION AMOUNT 2
    , then select
    VERIFY
    .

  7. An error notification appears if the amount you entered is incorrect. Verify the correct amount in your bank account, then select
    VERIFY
    to try again.
    Enter an amount to perform the verification with
    Your bank account will be locked if you fail to verify your micro-deposits in 10 attempts. If your bank account is locked, you can delete the bank account information and try again. A locked bank account can't be verified or used for payment.

  8. Select
    DONE
    .

Use the following steps to manually verify your bank account.
  1. If you choose to verify the bank account manually, under
    Manual Verification
    enter all fields, then select
    Add Account
    . Verification may take 2 business days.
    Enter the requested banking information
  2. Once the bank account has been added, it still needs to be verified. You will see 2 deposits in this bank account that will be used to authenticate your bank account. This may take up to 2 business days. Select
    DONE
    to continue.

  3. You will see the bank account listed under
    Payment Accounts
    .

    Once you have received the two deposits, Select an unverified bank account to verify it.

  4. To verify this account, enter the two amounts deposited in your bank account, then Select
    Verify Account
    .
    Enter an amount to verify the account with
  5. An error notification appears if the amount you entered is incorrect. Verify the correct amount in your bank account then Select
    VERIFY ACCOUNT
    to try again.

    Your bank account will be locked if you fail to verify your micro-deposits in 10 attempts. If your bank account is locked, you can delete the bank account information and try again. Contact TaxCaddy support if you are still unable to verify your locked account. Alternatively, you can also try using the
    Instant Verification
    method.

  6. Once your bank account has been added successfully, you can select the verified bank account to make a payment.

Use the following steps to manually verify your bank account.
  1. If you choose to verify the bank account manually, under
    Manual Verification
    enter all fields, then Select
    Add Account
    . Verification may take 2 business days.
    Enter the requested banking information
    If you or your tax professional have previously provided your bank account information to TaxCaddy, we will automatically populate your records with the information we have on file. Take a moment to review the information and make any corrections you see fit.

  2. Once the bank account has been added, it still needs to be verified. You will see 2 deposits in this bank account that will be used to authenticate your bank account. This may take up to 2 business days. Select
    DONE
    to continue.
