Message your tax professional about documents

Discuss specific documents with your tax professional by sending messages from the message panel in the document viewer, which creates a new thread associated with that document in Messages.

Message panels also appear on the questionnaire and tax returns.
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac, or tablet
Follow these steps to message your tax professional regarding specific documents using TaxCaddy.com on your PC, Mac, or tablet.
- Sign in to TaxCaddy.com, go to the document and select it to open it in the document viewer.noteDocuments appear onDocuments(Requested ItemsandUploaded Tax Documents), Activity Feed, recent uploads, and in search results.
- On theMessagespanel, enter your message and selectSend. The number at the bottom indicates the number of characters remaining. Your tax professional's reply appears in the thread on this panel, and the thread is also accessible inMessages.
- If you are viewing a document request or tax return document in theOverviewscreen's document viewer, you can select theMessageicon at the top of the panel.
iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to message your tax professional regarding specific documents using the iPhone mobile phone app.
- Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app, go to a document, and select the document to open it in the document viewer.noteDocuments appear on Documents (Requested Items and Uploaded Tax Documents), Activity Feed, and in search results.
- On the top bar, select theMessageicon.
- Enter your message and select theSendicon. Your tax professional's reply will appear in this thread. You can also access messages from theMessagesscreen.
Android mobile app
