You can fulfill your tax professional's document request by replying to it with an amount.
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac, or tablet
Follow these steps to resolve a document request by replying with an amount:
  1. Sign in to TaxCaddy.com.
  2. On the
    Overview
    screen, you will see a
    Task List
    on the left, with your
    Upload
    requests listed as
    [Tax Year] Document Requests
    .

    Your progress in completing all of your
    Upload
    tasks will be denoted with the
    Progress
    icon.
    Select Document Requests from the task list
  3. Select
    [Tax Year] Document Requests
    to open a list of your document requests next to your
    Task List
    .
    Select Document Requests from the task list
    By default, both pending and previously fulfilled requests will be displayed. However, you can use the dropdown to display only
    Open Requests
    .
    Select Open Requests
  4. Select the
    MORE OPTIONS
    menu to view all fulfillment options for this request, select
    Reply With Amount
    . Select Reply with Amount
  5. The
    Reply With Amount
    window will appear. Fill the form, then select
    Next
    .

    The
    Next
    button isn't available until the
    Amount
    is entered.

    To reply with multiple amounts, select
    Add Another Amount
    .
    To delete an amount, select the
    Delete
    icon.
    Select Add Another Account

    You can add details in the
    Description
    field to specify each amount.
  6. Reply With Amount
    window will let you review the data. Select
    Back
    to make changes. Select
    Send Reply
    to fulfill the document request with an amount.

  7. The
    Completed Upload
    icon will appear next to the associated document request.

  8. You can also find the completed
    Document Request
    under the
    Uploaded Documents
    tab of your
    Documents
    screen.

iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to reply with an amount on your iOS mobile phone app.
  1. Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app, then select
    [Tax Year] Document Requests
    from your
    Task List
    to go to a list of your pending document requests.
    Select Document Requests
  2. Your requested items will appear under
    [Tax Year] Document Requests
    .

  3. By default, TaxCaddy will display
    All Requests
    (including open requests and requests that have already been fulfilled). You can select
    Open Request
    from the dropdown to display only requests that haven’t yet been fulfilled.

  4. Select the request you would like to reply to with an amount.

  5. The menu with fulfillment options will appear. Select
    Reply with Amount

    Select Reply With Amount
  6. On the
    Reply With Amount
    screen, provide the
    AMOUNT
    ,
    DESCRIPTION
    , and a
    COMMENT
    if necessary, then select
    SEND REPLY
    .
    Enter the Amount and Description info then select SEND REPLY
  7. When the
    Confirm Reply
    window appears, select
    Yes
    to resolve this document request. Select
    No
    to close without saving changes.

  8. Once fulfilled, the icon next to the listed request will indicate so, and the progress bar will update. Your tax professional will also be notified that the document has been uploaded. You can select the request tile to view the uploaded document.

  9. Select the request tile to review the uploaded document containing the
    Description
    ,
    Amount
    , and
    Comments
    related to the paid amount.

Android mobile app
Follow these steps to reply with an amount on your Android mobile phone app.
  1. Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
  2. Document Requests
    that your tax professional has uploaded to your account will appear on the
    Overview
    screen. Select
    [Tax Year] Document Requests
    to go to a list of your pending document requests.
    Select the Document Request task
  3. Your requested items will appear under
    [Tax Year] Document Requests
    .
    Listed Document Requests
  4. By default, TaxCaddy will display
    All Requests
    (including open requests and requests that have already been fulfilled). You can select
    Open Request
    from the dropdown to display only requests that haven’t yet been fulfilled.

  5. Select the request you would like to reply to with an amount.

  6. The menu with fulfillment options will appear. Select
    Reply with Amount

  7. On the
    Reply With Amount
    screen, fill the form, then select
    Send Reply
    .
    Enter your payment information then select SEND REPLY
  8. If you see the
    Required Field Missing
    window, select
    OK
    . You must an
    Amount
    and/or
    Comment
    to continue.

  9. When the
    Confirm Reply
    window appears, select
    OK
    to resolve this document request. Select
    CANCEL
    to close without saving changes.

  10. Once fulfilled, the icon next to the listed request will indicate so, and the progress bar will update. Your tax professional will also be notified that the document has been uploaded. You can select the request tile to view the uploaded document.
