TaxCaddy is designed to simplify the preparation process for the tax return. Using TaxCaddy, you can get and securely share your necessary tax documents and information with your tax professional.
  1. Creating a TaxCaddy account
    TaxCaddy offers potential users 2 methods to create their account:
    • Creating your TaxCaddy account using a link that your tax professional has provided you. This method will let you connect with your tax professional upon account creation.
    • Creating your TaxCaddy account through the account sign-up screen on TaxCaddy.com.
  2. How can I connect with a tax professional?
    If your tax professional has sent you an invite before you've joined TaxCaddy, you can accept their connection request as you set up your account. Alternatively, if you've already created your TaxCaddy account without an invite from your tax professional, your tax professional's invite will appear in your account once they send it. You can accept it there to begin working with your tax professional.
  3. Can a spouse access my account content?
    Spouses can be added as additional users to your account. Once they join, they can access your account's contents, such as uploaded documents and requests.
  4. How can I upload my documents to my account?
    You can upload copies of your documents to your account to help your tax professional get the necessary tax information. Uploads can be from both web and mobile platforms.
  5. What do I do once I finish uploading my documents?
    Once you finish uploading your documents, TaxCaddy offers you the ability to notify your tax professional that you've completed your necessary uploads for the tax year.
  6. How can I contact my tax professional?
    TaxCaddy offers you the ability to contact your tax professional through the
    Messages
    feature in your account. Once they read your message, your tax professional can then reply to address your questions or concerns you may have.
  7. What do I do if I'm having trouble logging into my account?
    If you experience any difficulty logging into your account (that is, forgotten password, expired sign in email, and more), TaxCaddy offers various methods that users can try to recover their account. If you don’t have success with the available alternatives, you can contact the TaxCaddy Support team for further assistance.
