Download your tax return

You can download a tax return document from your tax professional to your local device. Additionally, you can use the downloaded tax return to print a copy if necessary.
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac, or tablet
Follow these steps to download your tax return using TaxCaddy.com on your PC, Mac, or tablet.
  1. Sign in to TaxCaddy.com
  2. On the
    Overview
     screen, you will see a
    Task List
     on the left, with your tax returns listed under
    View - [Tax Return Name]
    .
    note
    A tax return document will be marked as completed once it is viewed. Your progress in completing your
    Tax Return
     tasks will be denoted with the number and
    Progress
    . Once you've completed all your tasks, it will be marked as
    Completed
    .

    If your tax professional has enabled 1041 tax return profiles on your account for trust/estate, select
    SWITCH TAX RETURN
     to select a differemt tax return profile.
    Select SWITCH TAX RETURN
  3. Your selected tax return will appear in the
    Overview
     screen's document viewer.

    tip
    You can message your tax professional regarding this tax return using the
    Message
     icon.
    Select the Message icon to start a conversation with your tax professional
  4. Select
    DOWNLOAD
     and your browser will download your tax return document.
    note
    Once the tax return is downloaded on your device, you can open the tax return PDF file and print a copy if necessary.
    Select DOWNLOAD from the Tax Return document viewer
  5. Alternatively, you can select
    Tax Returns
     or use the
    Quick Access
     tile to be directed to a comprehensive list of tax returns uploaded to your account in the
    Tax Returns
     tab.
    Select Tax Returns from the navigation bar
  6. Once you select a tax return from the list, select
    DOWNLOAD
     in the Document Viewer panel.
    Select DOWNLOAD
iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to download your return on the iPhone mobile phone app.
  1. Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
  2. Tax returns that have been uploaded to your account will appear on the
    Overview
     screen. Tap the tax return you'd like to view.

    If your tax professional has enabled 1041 tax return profiles on your account, tap the
    SELECT TAX RETURNS
     dropdown to view your available tax return profiles.
    Select SELECT TAX RETURN
  3. The tax return you selected will open in the
    Document Viewer
    .

  4. Tap the
    Menu
     in the Document Viewer.
    Select the Tax Return document Menu
  5. Select
    Download
     from the options presented in the menu to download this tax return document.
    Select Download
  6. Alternatively, you can tap
    Tax Returns
     from the tab bar to be directed to a comprehensive list of tax returns uploaded to your account.
    Select Tax Returns from the navigation bar
Android mobile app
Follow these steps to download your return on the Android mobile phone app.
  1. Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
  2. Tax returns that have been uploaded to your account will appear on the
    Overview
     screen. Tap the tax return you'd like to view.

    If your tax professional has enabled 1041 tax return profiles on your account, tap the
    SELECT TAX RETURNS
     dropdown to view your available tax return profiles.
    Select SELECT TAX RETURN
  3. The tax return you selected will open in the
    Document Viewer
    .

  4. Tap the
    Menu
     in the Document Viewer.
    Select the menu in the tax return document viewer
  5. Select
    Download
     from the options presented in the menu.
    Select Download
  6. You'll see a
    Download complete
     notification appear to indicate to you that you've successfully downloaded this document to your device.
