When your tax professional is done preparing your tax return, they’ll upload it to
Tax Returns
.
note
If your tax professional hasn’t uploaded a tax return for you, TaxCaddy will let you know.
TaxCaddy.com on PC, Mac, or tablet
Follow these steps to view your tax return when using TaxCaddy.com on your PC, Mac, or tablet.
  1. Sign in to TaxCaddy.com
  2. On the
    Overview
     screen, you will see a
    Task List
     on the left with your tax returns listed as
    View - [Tax Return Name]
    .
    note
    A tax return document will be marked as completed once it is viewed. Your progress in completing your
    Tax Return
     tasks will be denoted with the number and
    Progress
    . Once you've completed all your tasks, it will be marked as
    Completed
    .

    If your tax professional has enabled 1041 tax return profiles on your account for trust/estate, select
    SWITCH TAX RETURN
     to select a different tax return profile.

  3. Your selected tax return will appear in the
    Overview
     screen's document viewer.

    You can message your tax professional regarding this tax return using the
    Message
     icon.
    Select the Message icon to start a conversation with your tax professional
  4. You can select
    VIEW ALL TAX RETURNS
     to view a complete list of tax return documents that've been uploaded to your account.
    Select VIEW ALL TAX RETURNS
    Alternatively, you can select
    Tax Returns
     or use the
    Quick Access
     tile to be directed to a comprehensive list of tax returns uploaded to your account in the
    Tax Returns
     tab.
    Select Tax Returns from the navigation bar
  5. Once on the
    Tax Returns
     tab, select the
    TAX YEAR
     and
    TAX RETURN
    . Tax returns are only visible under the tax year they were created in by your tax professional.
    Select a tax year and tax return type from each drop-down menu
  6. Select the tax return you want to view.

    After your tax return opens, you can swap between tax returns using the menu in the Document Viewer panel.
    Select a different tax return document from the drop-down menu
iOS mobile app
Follow these steps to view your tax return on your iOS mobile phone app.
  1. Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
  2. Tax returns that have been uploaded to your account will appear on the
    Overview
     screen. Tap the tax return you'd like to view.

    If your tax professional has enabled 1041 tax return profiles on your account, tap the
    SELECT TAX RETURNS
     dropdown to view your available tax return profiles.
    Select SELECT TAX RETURN
  3. The tax return you selected will open in the
    Document Viewer
    .

  4. Once you've finished reviewing the information in the tax return, tap
    DONE
     to indicate that you've viewed this document.

    You will still be able to view this tax return document again by selecting it from your
    Task List
     on the
    Overview
     screen.
    Select DONE for the selected tax return document
  5. Once you've viewed your tax return, you will be returned to the
    Overview
     screen where you may be prompted to return to the next pending tax return document (if one exists).
    • You can tap
      NEXT TASK
       to open your next review task in the
      Document Viewer
       to complete.
    • You can tap
      CANCEL
       to remain on the
      Overview
       screen.
    Select NEXT TASK to go to the next tax return document
  6. Alternatively, you can tap
    Tax Returns
    on the tab bar to be directed to a comprehensive list of tax returns uploaded to your account.
    Select Tax Returns from the navigation bar
Android mobile app
Follow these steps to view your tax return on your Android mobile phone app.
  1. Sign in to the TaxCaddy mobile app.
  2. Tax returns that have been uploaded to your account will appear on the
    Overview
     screen. Tap the tax return you'd like to view.

    If your tax professional has enabled 1041 tax return profiles on your account, tap the
    SELECT TAX RETURNS
     dropdown to view your available tax return profiles.
    Select SELECT TAX RETURN
  3. The tax return you selected will open in the
    Document Viewer
    .

  4. Once you've finished reviewing the information in the tax return, tap
    DONE
     to indicate that you've viewed this document.

    You can select the tax return again from your
    Task List
     on the
    Overview
     screen to view this tax return document.
    Select DONE on the tax return document
  5. Once you've viewed your tax return, you will be returned to the
    Overview
     screen where you may be prompted to return to the next pending tax return document (if one exists).
    • You can tap
      NEXT TASK
       to open your next review task in the
      Document Viewer
       to complete.
    • You can tap
      CANCEL
       to remain on the
      Overview
       screen.
    Select NEXT TASK
  6. Alternatively, you can tap the
    Menu
    , then select
    Tax Returns
     to view a comprehensive list of tax returns uploaded to your account.
    Select the Menu icon, then select Tax Returns
