AL40NR-916 e-file error
Acceptance Validation: //ns:ReturnState/ns:AuthenticationHeader/ns:PrimDrvrLcnsOrStateIssdIdGrp/ns:StateIssdIdNum: 'State Issued Identification Number (Primary). must be present.' (rule AL40NR-916).
You'll get this error when state identification information is missing.
Solution
- Go to the Federal input.
- Select the Electronic Filing folder.
- Select theIDAuthtab.
- Make sure the identification section is correct. If you make any changes, recreate and retransmit the return.
- If there's no identification information, you need to file the return on paper.
