AL40NR-924 e-file error
Acceptance Validation: //ns:ReturnState/ns:AuthenticationHeader/ns:SpsDrvrLcnsOrStateIssdIdGrp/ns:StateIssdIdNum: 'State Issued Identification Number must be present (Spouse).' (rule AL40NR-924).
You'll get this error when state identification information is missing for the spouse.
Solution
- Go to the Federal input.
- Select the Electronic Filing folder.
- Select theIDAuthtab.
- Make sure the identification section is correct for the spouse. If you make any changes, recreate and retransmit the return.
- If there's no state identification information, you need to file the return on paper.
