CT025-MEF-IND e-file error
Incorrect Data: //ReturnHeaderState/Filer/Primary/TaxpayerSSN: Duplicate extensions are not allowed (value XXXXXXXXX, rule CT025-MEF-IND).
You'll get this error if a Connecticut extension has already been filed for the client.
Solution
If you have a valid Federal tax extension (Form 4868) and you owe $0 Connecticut income tax, you'll automatically receive a Connecticut tax extension. In this case, you don't need to file a separate Connecticut request.
If you owe income tax to Connecticut, as shown on the Connecticut Form 1040 EXT, line 7, contact Support at 800.968.0600 if you still receive this error.
