F1099R-004-01 e-file error

If Form 1099-R has a US Address in the Payer Address, then the first five digits of the Payer 'ZipCd' must be with in the valid ranges of Zip Codes listed for the corresponding 'StateAbbreviationCd'. See Publication 4164.
The ZIP Code included on a Form 1099R doesn't match the state.

Solution

  1. Go to the 1099R screen in the Retirement folder.
  2. For each unit, review the
    Zip Code
     and
    State
     fields.
  3. ZIP Codes need to be valid for the state on the 1099R.
    note
    You can validate ZIP Codes on the United States Postal Service website.
  4. Correct the
    Zip Code
     or
    State
     field.
  5. Recreate and retransmit the return.
