F1310-004 e-file error

Form 1310, 'DecedentSSN' must be equal to 'PrimarySSN' or 'SpouseSSN' in the Return Header, if the filing status of the return is Married filing jointly.
The error happens when a married filing joint return includes Form 1310.

Solution

  1. Go to the 1310 screen in the General folder.
  2. Enter
    D = Person not required to file Form 1310
     in the
    Person claiming refund
     field.
  3. Recreate and retransmit the return.
