F2120-003 e-file error
Each SSN that has a value on Form 2120, 'EligiblePersonWaivingDepdRight' must not be equal to the 'PrimarySSN' in the Return Header. (rule F2120-003)
You'll get this error if a Social Security number (SSN) included on Form 2120 is the same as the taxpayer's.
Solution
- Go to the 2120 screen in the General folder.
- Review theSSNentered on this screen. None of them can equal the taxpayer's SSN entered on the 1040 screen.
- Correct any necessarySSNfields.
- Recreate and retransmit the return.
