F2439-502-01 e-file error

Form 2439, 'RICOrREITEIN' must match data in the e-File database. (rule F2439-502-01)

You'll get this error when the EIN and name of the RIC or REIT don't match the IRS e-File database.

Go to the 2439 screen in the Income folder.

Review the EIN
and Name of RIC or REIT
fields.

If either field is incorrect, correct it.

Recreate and retransmit the return.

If both fields are correct, that means the IRS has the wrong information in the e-File database.
