F37-SECTB-002 e-file error
Math Error: Line 5b does not equal Total Credit allowed for Section A wages/winnings and Schedule J Income reported. (rule F37-SECTB-002).
This math error is often triggered by the Ohio Cities e-file system.
Solution
Review the totals on Form 37 per the error:
- Check Form 37, page 2, line 5b, against the Page 1 and Page 3 figures.
- If these are correct and equal, you'll need to file the return on paper until the Ohio City e-file system resolves the error.
- If the figures don't match, review the following screens for inaccuracies to correct:
- CW2 (City Wages) in the Ohio Cities Income folder.
- CW2G (City Gambling Winnings) in the Ohio Cities Income folder.
- Any Federal screens that contribute to Ohio City Income (such as Schedules C or E).
- After making any corrections, recreate and retransmit the e-file.
