F4868-002-01 e-file error
If Form 4868, Line 8 checkbox or Line 9 checkbox is checked, then the form can only be filed after 'TaxPeriodEndDate' in the IRS Submission Manifest and on or before the extended due date for taxpayers out of the country.
Solution
You can't file an extension after the original due date of the return.
If you're trying to file a return, follow these steps:
- In Forms view, go to Form 4868.
- SelectEdit, thenOverrides.
- ClearForce Form to Print.
- Recreate and retransmit the e-file.
