F8853-514-01 e-file error

Form 8853, Line 14b 'LTCInsuredSSN' and 'LTCInsuredNameControlTxt' must match data in the e-File database. (value, rule F8853-514-01)
You can get this error message without error codes R0000-500 or R0000-503 if you entered incorrect data. If you get this error message with ERC R0000-500 and/or R0000-503, resolving those will resolve this error.

Solution

  1. Go to the Health Care folder.
  2. Select the 1099SA screen.
  3. Check the
    Insured's social security number
     and
    Insured's name
     fields and make sure they're correct.
    • If the
      Insured's name
       field has a suffix (for example, Jr), make sure there's a comma after the last name and not a period after the suffix. For example, change
      John Smith Jr.
       to
      John Smith, Jr
      .
  4. Recreate and retransmit the e-file.
