F8863-512-02 e-file error

For each student in Form 8863, Line 20 'StudentNameControl' and Line 21 'StudentSSN' must match e-File database. (value #########, rule F8863-512-02)

The value represents the SSN of the rejected student.

You'll get this error if the student's Social Security number (SSN) or last name is incorrect according to the IRS e-File database.

Go to the Educate folder.

Select the Educate screen.

Open the Eligible student information
statement window.

Check the Student's SSN
and Last Name
.

Correct any incorrect information, then recreate and retransmit the e-file.
