If Form 982, Line 1d 'DschrgQlfyRealPropBusIndbtInd' is checked, Line 4 'ExcldForDschrgQlfyRealPropAmt' must have a non-zero value.
If you mark Line 1d of Form 982, you need to enter an amount in Line 4.
Solution
- Go to the 982 screen in the Other With Return folder.
- Enter an amount in theQualified real property business indebtedness applied to reduce basis of depreciable real propertyfield.
- Recreate and retransmit the return.
