FW2G-007-01 e-file error

If Form W-2G, Payer Address is a US Address, then the first five digits of the 'ZipCd' must be within the valid ranges of zip codes for the corresponding 'StateAbbreviationCd'. See Publication 4164.
You'll get this error if the Zip Code and State don't match for a Form W-2G.

Solution

  1. Go to the
    W2G
     screen, in the
    Income
     folder.
  2. For each W2G unit, review the
    Payer's address
     and
    ZIP code
    .
  3. If the payer address is in the US, the first 5 digits of the
    Zip Code
     must be within the valid ranges of Zip Codes for the State.
  4. You can review a valid range of Zip Codes from the USPS.
  5. Re-create and retransmit the return.
