If 'PrimaryDeathDt' has a value in the return, then 'InCareOfNm' in the Filer address in the Return Header must have a value.

You'll get this error if you haven't entered the name of the person handling the tax affairs of the deceased taxpayer.

folder.

Enter the name of the person handling the tax affairs in In care of addressee/name line 2
.

If you're also filing Form 1310:

Go to the

1310

screen, in the General
folder.

Check that Person claiming refund
is the same as
In care of addressee/name line 2
on the

1040

screen.

Re-create and retransmit the return.
