'SpouseDeathDt' in the return must match that in the e-File database. (value, rule IND-036-01).

You'll get this error if the Date of death
is either not in the current tax or processing year or it doesn't match the IRS records.

Open the

1040

screen, in the General
input folder.

Review the Date of death
.

If incorrect, correct it, then re-create and retransmit the return.
