IND-164 e-file error
Incorrect Data: /Return/ReturnData/IRS9465: MeF is not currently accepting Form 9465 attached to prior year returns. Please file Form 9465 as a stand-alone using the latest 9465 schema package. (rule IND-164).
You'll get this error if you've tried to file Form 9465 with a prior year return.
Solution
You'll need to paper file Form 9465 separately.
- Go to the9465screen, in thePaymentsfolder.
- Mark theRequest being filed in response to a noticecheckbox to exclude Form 9465 from the e-file.
- Re-create and retransmit the return.
- File Form 9465 separately on paper.
