IND-298 e-file error

If 'RefundAmt' in the return has a non-zero value and the filing status of the return is married filing jointly and both 'PrimaryDeathDt' and 'SpouseDeathDt' have values, then two Forms 1310 must be present.
You'll get this error if Form 1310 is missing or incomplete.

Solution

  1. Go to the
    1310
     screen, in the
    General
     folder.
  2. Complete this screen for the taxpayer and spouse.
  3. Re-create and retransmit the return.
