IND-513 e-file error
Duplicate Condition: /Return/ReturnHeader/Filer/SpouseSSN: The Spouse SSN in the return must not be the same as Spouse SSN in another return filed for the same tax year. (value #########, rule IND-513)
You'll get this error if the spouse SSN has already been entered for the spouse on another return.
Solution
- Go to the General folder.
- Open the 1040 screen.
- Check theSpouse SSNfield for accuracy. If the SSN is incorrect, correct it, then re-create and resubmit the e-file.
- If the SSN is correct, contact the IRS at 866.255.0654 to ask about the SSN in question and procedures for filing on paper.
