R0000-194 e-file error

Submission must not be a duplicate of a previously accepted submission. (rule R0000-194)

You'll get this error if the IRS e-File database shows this SSN was already used on an accepted return.

Go to the 1040 screen in the General folder.

Make sure the SSN
field is correct.

Correct any typos or incorrect information, then re-create and retransmit the e-file.

If the SSN is correct, file the return on paper with Form 8948. You can contact the IRS Identity Protection Unit at 800.908.4490.
