Rule 04074 schema validation failure

Schema validation failure rule 04074
When a New York return gets rejected with schema validation failure rule 04074, it can be caused by several factors.

  • the EIN is entered in

    , then
    Firm
     tab
  • the
    Print Preparer's name in signature block where allowed
    checkbox is marked in
    Setup
    ,
    Office Configuration
    ,
    Preparer
     tab then
    Edit
  • the
    Print date in preparer's block
    checkbox is marked in
    Setup
    ,
    Office Configuration
     then
    Print Options
     tab
  • the partner's address is 30 characters or less
  • the partnership address does not include any special characters
  • the date 'Various' is not used on Form IT-399 or Form IT-398
  • Form IT-204-LL, line 4 is a positive number
  • the general partnership or LLC box is marked on Form IT-204-LL
