Deposit directly on refund from 1040X amended return
Starting in UltraTax CS 2022, you can deposit a refund resulting from an amended return directly into either a checking or savings account.
Prior to UltraTax CS 2022, you can't deposit any amended returns directly into a bank account. This is the case even if you e-file.
Do the following to setup the direct deposit:
- Go toSeparate Filings, thenAmend.
- Mark theDirect deposit amended (or superseded) refundcheckbox.
- Go toGeneral, thenBank.
- Verify the banks accounts.
- Verify any allocation data if there are multiple accounts.
