Filing Form 5329 with an amended return (1040)
After you complete amending returns in UltraTax CS, the steps to amend Form 5329 depend on which part is being amended. Complete the necessary data entry for each part.
Part I or Part IX
In the
Retirement
folder, open the 1099R-2
screen and enter X
in the Amended return
field. If you're filing Form 5329 separately, enter X
in the Print with firm data on form
field to complete the preparer block on Form 5329, Page 2.Part II
Use the
1099Q
screen in the Educate
folder.Parts III, IV, V, VI, VII, and/or VIII
In the
Taxes
folder, open the 5329
screen and enter X
in the Amended return
field. If you're filing Form 5329 separately, enter X
in the Print with firm data on form
field to complete the preparer block on Form 5329, Page 2.
