Remove an amended return (1040)
To delete Form 1040X from a return, do the following steps.
- Select theSeparate Filingsinput folder.
- Go to theAmendtab.
- SelectEdit, thenDelete Screen Data.
Deleting the Form 1040X doesn't revert changes you may have made to the return. To revert changes:
- Open each input screen where you changed data and manually remove the changes so the return will calculate as originally reported. Once you revert the changes, run a print preview of the client.
