Form 8949 columns (a)-(e)
Refer to the following to complete columns (a)-(e) on Part I or Part II:
- For B&D and Broker amounts, complete these fields:Desc,Date acq'd,Date sold,Sales Price,Cost basis.
- For 1099C amounts:
- Column (a) automatically completes with a description of the type of gain/loss.
- Columns (b) and (c) will be blank.
- Columns (e) and (f) calculate on worksheets in theDebtfolder in the Forms view.
- For K1-7 amounts:
- Column (a) is the name of an entity on theK1screen.
- Columns (b)-(e) come from the Purchase history and Sales information statements.
