Generate estimated tax reminder letters

UltraTax CS provides the ability to generate federal and state reminder letters for quarterly estimated tax payments. You use the Data Mining Utility to generate reminder letters. You can print or email the letters or send them to FileCabinet CS.
To generate estimated tax reminder letters, follow these steps.
  1. Go to
    Utilities
    , then
    Data Mining
    .
  2. Select the 1040 Individual client database, then select
    Continue
     (Step 2).
  3. In the Print selection section, change
    Reports
     to
    Letters
     to get the list of letters.
  4. Highlight the relevant quarter for the estimate reminder and then select
    Select
    .
    The
    Search name:
     field automatically completes with the search criteria.
  5. Select
    Continue
     (Step 3).
    UltraTax CS scans each of your clients to determine which ones have estimates and then displays the results.
  6. Go to
    Select print destination
     in the Print where section and select an option.
  7. In the Print what section, select the clients you want to generate the letter for. If a client isn’t listed, verify that the client meets the search criteria.
  8. Select
    Print
    .
  9. If you need to generate more letters, repeat steps 4 through 8.
