Print extension filing instructions

To print the extension filing instructions, complete the following steps.

Select Setup
, 1040 Individual
, the Federal
tab, then Tax Return
.

In the Find what
field, enter

Extension filing instructions

.

note

To review other collations, use this field on the Client
or Preparer
tab.

Select Extension Filing Instructions
in the list.

Select As required
in the Print conditions
box.

If you’re filing electronically, select Print on paper/PDF
and/or Include in Email/Web attachment
.

note

The Government collation selects As required
and Print on paper
by default.

Select OK
twice to close the

1040 Product Information

window.

Select File
, then Print Extensions
.

Select Options
then the Extension Print Options
tab.

Select First extension
unless you’re completing Form 2350 or a 2nd extension.

Clear the Suppress client documents
checkbox if it's selected.

Select OK
, then select Print
.
