Print “Your return will not be filed until signed Form 8879” in filing instructions
You can include the text in the filing instructions that the return won’t be filed with the IRS until Form 8879 has been returned. The default text reads as follows:
Your return will not be filed with the IRS until the signed Form 8879 IRS e-file Signature Authorization Form has been received by this office.
Do the following to print with this text:
- SelectSetup,1040 Individual, thenFederal.
- SelectOther Return Options, thenClient Documents.
- Mark theInclude text that return will not be filed until signed Form 8879 is returnedcheckbox.
