Solution
Verify the following on the
W2
screen in the Income
folder to resolve this diagnostic. Note that if there are multiple W2
screens, you'll need to review each one.
- IfBox B(EIN) is blank, UltraTax CS won't create the e-file due to Error Code 122. Box B is needed on a paper W-2, so it's also needed for e-filing.
- IfBox C(Address) is blank, UltraTax CS won't create the e-file due to Error Codes 123, 290 and 291. Box C is needed on a paper W-2, so it's also needed for e-filing.
- IfBox 15is blank, UltraTax CS will create the e-file. However, the state information won't be included on the W-2 facsimile, which may cause state error rejections.
