Enter APO, DPO, and FPO addresses for electronic returns

You might need to enter an overseas military address for an electronically filed return.
  1. Open the 1040 client's return.
  2. Open the
    1040
     screen in the General folder.
  3. In the Residence Information section, enter the
    Address
     and
    Zip
    .
  4. Enter
    APO
    ,
    DPO
    , or
    FPO
     for the
    City
    .
  5. Enter
    AA (APO/DPO/FPO Miami)
    ,
    AE (APO/DPO/FPO New York)
    , or
    AP (APO/DPO/FPO San Francisco)
     in
    State
    .
  6. Enter
    1 (APO/DPO/FPO)
     in
    Address indicator
    .
