Filing Form 1040-SS electronically
To electronically file Form 1040-SS :
- The return needs to include a Form W-2 or W-2PR.
- The return needs to contain an Additional Child Tax Credit.
- There's no balance due.
- The only source of refund needs to be the Additional Child Tax Credit.
The only additional form allowed is Form 8888, Direct Deposit of Refund to More Than One Account. Page 2 and Page 3 are limited to 1 firm or business activity unit.
