Form 1099-SA data entry
To enter information from Form 1099-SA Distributions From an HSA, Archer MSA, or Medicare Advantage MSA, you can either use Source Data Entry or use the 1099-SA Facsimile section of the
1099SA
screen in the Health Care folder. The fields in this section are similar to the form.note
- If you have multiple distributions from the same HSA account, combine the amounts and enter the sum on a single1099SAscreen.
- If you have multiple distributions from different HSA accounts, enter each account on a separate1099SAscreen. The application will create statement units of Form 8889.
