Form 1099-MISC data entry

To enter information from Form 1099-MISC, Miscellaneous Information, you can either use Source Data Entry or use the 1099-MISC Facsimile section of the
1099M
 screen. The fields in this section are similar to the form.

The 1099M Screen appears in the following folders or activities.
  • Income folder
  • Business folder
  • Rent & Royalty folder
  • Farm folder
  • Farm Rental folder
If the information reported on Form 1099-MISC pertains to a particular activity, enter the information on the 1099M screen for that activity. For example, if the information reported on Form 1099-MISC is related to the taxpayer or spouse's Schedule C business, enter the information on the 1099M screen within the Business folder.
