Enter a Form W-2 with combat pay exclusion for electronic filing

Follow these steps to enter a W-2 with combat pay exclusion.
  1. Go to the
    W2
     screen.
  2. Open the statement window for the
    Box 12
     field. Enter
    Q (Nontaxable combat pay)
     in the
    Code
     field.
  3. Go to the
    1040
     screen.
  4. Select the military zone from the
    Special processing
     list.
