Data entry for Form 8960 Net Investment Income Tax
Form 8960 calculates net investment income tax on income more than certain thresholds and filing status. UltraTax CS calculates tax on the following items:
- Taxable interest
- Ordinary dividends
- Annuities from nonqualified plans (1099R, codeDorNonqualified Annuitymarked)
- Passive income from Schedule E (pages 1 and 2)
- Capital gains
You can enter adjustments to Form 8960 on the
ACA Tax
screen in the Taxes
folder. The Review
folder includes TPW-ACA to let preparers perform more detailed tax projections for clients subject to extra Affordable Care Act taxes.
