Preparer notes

You can include explanations for information you enter in a return.
  1. Go to the
    ELF
    screen in the
    Electronic Filing
     folder.
  2. Select the
    Statement
     button.
  3. In the
    Preparer Notes
     field, enter any information you want to include.
    note
    • Don't enter information in the
      General footnote
       field. This will create a duplicate. UltraTax CS automatically includes notes you enter here. 
    • Don't enter election explanations in this section. The system automatically enters any election explanations in the electronic file using information in the
      Election Statements
       section in the
      Elect
      window.
