Enter early distribution exceptions (Form 5329)
Use these steps to enter early distribution exceptions for Form 5329.
- Go to theRetirementfolder.
- Select the1099Rscreen.
- Enter the distribution information as reported on Form 1099-R.
- Select the1099R-2screen.
- Select a code in theEarly Distribution codefield that correctly identifies the type of distribution for Form 5329, Part I. If multiple exceptions exist, enter an explanation in theMultiple exceptions explanationstatement.
- Select theEarly distribution exception code..
- Enter anExceptionamount.
