Enter allocation data by state

Follow these steps to enter allocation data by state for the return.
  1. Open a 1040 client.
    note
    You'll need to have at least 1 state return attached to the current client to open this spreadsheet. The
    State
    on the main activity screen needs to contain a ZIP Code.
  2. Select
    View
    , then
    Allocation
    .
  3. Select the tab you need, and enter information in the State allocation spreadsheet.
    note
    • You can delete 1 or more cells of the spreadsheet.
    • To select an entire spreadsheet column, select the column heading.
    • To select an entire spreadsheet row, select the component heading at the beginning of the row.
    • To select the entire spreadsheet, select the main component heading of the spreadsheet.
  4. Repeat step 3 to complete the data entry for the remaining states.
  5. Select
    Done
    when you finish entering the information.
